Castaways Coast

The northern part of the Great Barrier Reef is strewn with the remains of many old sailing ships that came to grief when trying to pass through the reef into the Torres Strait.

The survivors had a terrible time running the gauntlet of headhunters, and many castaways were slaughtered.

Ben Cropp leads an expedition in search of the wreck of the Pandora, Australia’s most historic shipwreck of great archaeological importance.  The Pandora had captured some of the mutineers of the Bounty, and was returning them to England for trial.
