The Secrets of the River

High in the rainforest mountain source, a picturesque creek is the birth place of a river in North Queensland.  Hidden beneath the rainforest canopy are possums, platypus, and crayfish.  As the river grows, and its banks widen and deepen, it teams with life with thousands of birds, dingoes, freshwater crocodiles, turtles and barramundi.  We witness the amazing archer fish that shoots a jet of water and knocks insects down.

Where the river finally meets the tidal sea, and the mangroves claim its shores, Ben catches succulent mud crabs, and meets the lord of the river mouth – the dangerous saltwater crocodile.
